Why might I need Postnatal Support?
The birth of a new baby can bring about a complete change of life; it may involve a break from work, the loss of the familiar daily contact with adults and the challenge of caring for a baby. Back to topWhat does the NCT do?
The NCT hopes to provide a network of groups of other parents with similar experiences to offer friendship, information and local contacts. Most areas have an Under Ones group and a general group for children of all ages.A local NCT member will endevour to contact new mothers in Bristol who have approached the NCT before or soon after the baby arrives. The contact will not be a trained counsellor or provide professional advice, but a mother who knows about what's happening locally and will be happy to take you to an NCT coffee morning or just meet up for a chat.
